General Data Protection Regulations:
The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) is the new regulation being brought into the EU to introduce greater control over the use of personal data. The underlying principles of GDPR are similar to existing Data Protection legislation. However, the GDPR contains more specific requirements for the use and protection of personal data than existing legislation.
Under the GDPR, personal data is defined as:
“any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’); an identifiable natural personal is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person”.
We are required to notify you with the following information regarding the processing of personal information relating to you.
Who we are:

Telephone call recording:
Altera Business Solutions may have a legal obligation to record telephone calls in certain circumstances and use a secure telephone call logging software to record, store and archive those telephone calls. Therefore, please note that calls may be recorded for training, quality, and regulatory purposes.
Consequences of non-provision of your personal data:
Altera Business Solutions would not be able to continue with its contractual agreement with you.
Recipients of your personal data:
From time to time and if you instruct us to do so, we may share your data with:
- Professional advisors such as lawyers, accountants, financial advisors
- Other financial institutions such as banks, insurance and investment companies;
- Tax authorities and regulators for reporting purposes; and
- Third party risk intelligence agencies for the purpose of KYC screening and due diligence.
We may disclose your personal information in some cases to governmental agencies or entities, regulatory authorities or other persons in line with any applicable law, regulations, court order or official request. For example, your data may be shared with these entities where Altera Business Solutions would be expected to cooperate in the event of a criminal investigation.
